Share on twitterPekka Väinö Johannes Sivula ( 8 August 1924 Kouvola - 26 May 2018 Naantali ) was a Finnish architect who worked as a town plan architect in Turku and head of the plan department. He was also an avid golf enthusiast and designed many golf courses in different parts of the Finnish.
Sivula graduated as an architect in 1952. From 1960 he worked as a town plan architect in Turku for more than 25 years. In the mid-1980s, he was sentenced to be fired in connection with the Armas Puolimatka bribe case . In retirement, he specialized in golf course design. He designed a total of 16 golf courses, the second largest in Finland after Kosti Kuronen .
Pekka Sivula served on the board of the Finnish Golf Association from 1977 to 1983 . He co-founded Aura Golf in Turku in 1958 and was its chairman from 1981 to 1983.
