Reserva Conchal was the ï¬rst Audubon-certiï¬ed golf course in Costa Rica. We are commited to preserving natural wildlife corridors and using only native plants.
In 2018 we invested in a state-of-the-art irrigation system with AI data to prevent leaking and overwatering. This system is tied into the resort property’s on-site treatment plant, where 100% of the wastewater from the two hotels (Westin and W) is recycled to water the greens and garden areas.
The use of electric cars and bamboo or corn tees sum up with this efforts.
Birds, monkeys, deer and coatis are just a few of the animals that inhabit the immediate vicinity of this golf course. A large portion of land has been dedicated to the slow-growing, endangered holywood tree (Guaiacum sanctum), which is gradually making a comeback after nearly a half-century of sweeping deforestation in Costa Rica.
Get to the green on our 71-par championship course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, this challenging and sporty course provides unique elevations, multiple lakes and meandering fairways between a vibrant forest and the majestic Costa Rican coastline
