Just north of Stockholm on the northern shore of Lake Ullnasjön, Sven Tumba fulfilled his dream of building a really challenging golf course in the early 80''s.

30 years later, it was golf icon Jack Nicklaus who was commissioned to upgrade the acclaimed course. Together, they have created a design in perfect balance among softly shaped hills and ever-present streams.

At least one enticing challenge characterizes each hole. From tee to green, your golf skills are tested over and over again. A brave approach can be costly, but in the end, the dedicated golfer is always richly rewarded. If not for the beauty of the course and beautiful parkland, then for the true joy of playing that has always been Ullna''s hallmark.

On June 8, 2013, the new Ullna was reopened after the upgrade of Nicklaus Design. Jack Nicklaus'' friendship with Sven Tumba meant a unique commitment where the icon Nicklaus personally became involved in the design. Jack Nicklaus & Nicklaus Design have created a modern golf course where the old stretch was preserved but completely new tee, landing and green areas were created.

One of Ullna''s strongest characteristics, the watercourses, also got a real facelift. The ditches became winding streams and dams were expanded and redefined. A state-of-the-art irrigation and drainage system with the capacity to swallow heavy amounts of rain in a short time was installed and when the entire course was shaped, all fairways were sanded. The entire course is sown with different mixtures of modern creeper varieties, and the greens with the "supergrass" 007. In recent years, New Ullna has steadily climbed upwards on both national and international ranking lists. According to Golf Digest, our playing surfaces are of the highest quality of all courses in Sweden!
