On the first Saturday of September 1952, a handful of stout hearted members and associates began the clearing of the present Jandowae Golf Course.
After many weekends and days of heavy toiling, things began to take shape. An army hut was purchase from Victoria Barracks, cut into sections, transported to Jandowae and reassembled on the chosen site as a Club House
By 1956, membership had doubled and the thoughts centred around the club extension and water. By 1959, a skillion was added to the northern side of the Club House. A bore was sunk, deep excellent water resulted and soon septic toilets were built.
Realising the value od water, it was next decided on building of grass greens, two being made as a first step, and balance being done progressively.
Anew bar with cold room was completed and opened in 1968. A large dam sunk in 1971. The present ball room was completed and opened in 1975 by the late Hon.V.B.Sullivan.
The came the big step to rebuild the old sections and incorporate modernized kitchen, members ans associates dressing rooms and toilets
