Our 27 holes of golf set in the delightful Essex countryside is a real treat for golfers of all standards and handicaps. Whatever your level, our Martin Gillet designed courses will provide you with a fine test of golf in Essex that is a pleasure to play. Stock Brook’s renowned undulating greens, rolling landscape and beautiful scenery create the setting for a great day’s golf all year round.
The Golf course consists of three loops of nine holes aptly named the Stock, Brook and the Manor. The main 6,950 yard championship layout features the two former nines, and designer Martin Gillett has created a fine test of golf that is a pleasure to play.
Gillett, an Essex based architect whose work includes supervising the construction of Wentworths acclaimed South Course, makes clever use of the natural rolling landscape, the water features and many of the courses mature trees. Set in breath taking Essex countryside, the Stock Brook course presents a delightful challenge for both deft stroke players and long hitters alike. Several of the courses shorter holes appear innocuous, but can easily destroy a good card. With a number of memorable golf holes to choose from, the Par 3 4th Hole is already established as Stock Brook Golf Clubs signature hole.
The par 35 Manor Course is situated on either side of the Country Clubs driveway and water comes into play on at least four of the holes. The Manor 9 is seen as a great alternative to the main Stock Brook 18, or as an addition to create 27 and 36 hole golf days. Much like our main Stock Brook course, The Manor Course offers a number of short, delightfully tempting risk and reward holes. The 338 yard 3rd hole is an example of a possible birdie or double-bogey hole, attempt to drive it at your peril!
