Rya Golf Club was founded in 1934 and was then called Helsingkrona GK. The club changed its name to Rya in 1936 and was elected the following year in SGF as the 19th club in the country. Until 1948, the club had only 9 holes, but with the expansion to 13 holes this year, one step closer to the realization of an 18-hole course. In 1956 you finally get 18 holes and from this year will be a facility to count on when larger arrangements would be distributed in golf Sweden.

The 18-hole Rya Old Course has since the start had several holes with the right seaside character. These have for all years been the hallmark of Rya together with the holes played from the land castle, where the view towards the Öresund is extremely breathtaking. Rya Old Course ranked number 22 among the country''s golf courses, a location we actively strive to improve.
