The nine holes completed in the 1996 season (formerly the A-loop) were supplemented by nine new holes in 2002, when the 18-hole “new” field was renamed Pyhä Lauri.
Pyhä Lauri has been on stage at both the Finnish Golf Tour (now the Finnish Tour) and the Finnish Open in 2006. In 2008, holes 5-13 were part of the Challenge Tour course.
The field orbits in the middle of the forest islands and there is also water at play. The game is paced by a break at Lauri''s hut between holes 11 and 12 (the loop will not return to the Club in the middle of the round).
A panel of experts from Golf Digest rated “Saint” as the 15th nationwide level of care and condition in the country. The lay-out and condition of the greens were ranked 17th in 2009.
The field record, played on black brick, 64 strokes, is in the name of EGS Niklas Virta.
The field was designed by architect Kosti Kuronen. In 2007, according to Golf Digest''s expert panel, it was the best course in Finland designed by a Finnish architect.
