36 spaciously placed holes covering a 130 hectare area guarantee a golf experience of a different dimension. Here the architect duo Rossknecht/ Erhardt designed the course around a centrally imposing, colonial-style club house.
Separated by sumptuous vegetation and optically beautiful ponds the holes are kept in line in flowing harmony. Broad fairways, sufficient landing zones and perfectly placed obstacles turn the parkland course into a new experience with every round.
Ryder-Cup Captain Sam Torrance at the PGA Austrian Open in 1993 said: „Both these parkland courses with not only one signature-hole, but several attractive and memorable holes rank for me among the best in Europe.“
Embedded in the delightful Gutenhof park landscape, the East Course is an impressive one due to its length and sometimes narrow and difficult holes, particularly on the second nine. This course is held in high regard as being the venue of the 1996 Austrian Ladies Open as well as many other National Team promotions.
