The Frankfurt Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Germany, founded in 1913 by influential entrepreneurial personalities from the Frankfurt bourgeoisie. Around 1,400 members, including 250 young people, have their sporting home in Frankfurt''s city forest.
Our golf course is a beautiful natural oasis in the middle of the lively Main metropolis: an ideal place for a sports break. Centuries-old trees line our 18-hole parkland course, designed by renowned golf course architect Harry S. Colt. The greenkeeping team sets the highest quality standards for course maintenance and attaches great importance to ecologically sustainable interaction with nature. For its commitment to the protection of flora and fauna in the big city, the German Golf Association first awarded the Frankfurt Golf Club the Gold status of its environmental quality management program in 2013 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the club. A great recognition and an incentive: To this day, our club meets the strict requirements and leads the "Golf & Nature" gold signet.
