What seems atypical for East Westphalia is characteristic of the Paderborn plateau and the Haxterhöhe Links golf course. Characteristics of traditional dune courses are combined with the conditions on the plateau in the south of Paderborn as well as future-oriented care and playing methods.

The course design was penned by Achim Reinmuth (Städler Golf Courses) . Shaping was done by Conor J Walsh.
