The Close House PGA Academy and Driving Range is one of only three official PGA Academies in the UK, and is the ideal place to perfect your game before you play the beautifully presented Lee Westwood courses.

LEE WESTWOOD COLT COURSE - Set in the beautiful and serene Tyne Valley, only seven miles outside the centre of Newcastle and nestled between the banks of the River Tyne, the 250-year-old Close House estate has been lovingly formed into two of the best courses in the country. Situated near the ancient remains of Hadrian’s Wall, we present the only Lee Westwood golf courses in the UK – one being our stunning Colt Course.

LEE WESTWOOD FILLY COURSE - Our 18-hole Lee Westwood Filly course is situated in the grounds of the Close House Estate, providing stunning views of the River Tyne Valley in Northumberland. Alongside the presentation of the Lee Westwood Colt course, the Parkland layout was re-designed and re-opened in 2013, providing a delightful alternative to the Championship layout of its sister course.
