The Golfpark Oberzwieselau is a harmonious championship course integrated into the landscape, which takes special account of the fauna and flora of the 100-hectare area.
In addition to the 400-year-old driveway, the spacious clubhouse is in the immediate vicinity of Oberzwieselau Castle. The area owned by the Counts Mellin-Wolffersdorff''sche administration, which was previously used for agriculture and forestry or as a park, provided the ideal basis for the landscaped golf park, for the construction of which only minor ground movements were required.
The first plans for a golf park in Oberzwieselau were drawn up as early as The architect of the Mondsee Golf Park and top Austrian golfers, Max Lamberg, and Baron Ali Wolffersdorff began realizing the project in 1988. They found valuable partners in the architects and landscape ecologists Wolfgang Barth and Rupert Schelle, who completed the work with great feeling and sensitivity. On June 11, 1993, the first president of the golf club founded in 1991, Baron Wolffersdorff, welcomed many representatives from politics, business and authorities as well as honorary members Franz Beckenbauer, Toni Sailer and Harry Valerien to the opening ceremony.
