At Steelwood Country Club, we think our members deserve an escape from reality. To give our members the best experience possible, we provide upscale facilities and an array of activities ranging from massage therapy and fitness to children’s summer golf and tennis clinics. There is something for the whole family to enjoy each season at Steelwood Country Club.

The Clubhouse is the vibrant heart of Steelwood and the social gathering place for the entire Club. The elegant and comfortable Dining Room serves some of the most creative cuisine in the entire Southeast, along with an excellent selection of fine wines. Our chefs are passionate about sharing their vision of fine cuisine. Impeccable personal care is a Steelwood signature and the Dining Room is no exception. The Clubhouse Lounge is a favorite of all sports enthusiasts. Recently renovated to provide more space and another big screen TV, the Lounge provides an excellent atmosphere for a more laid-back dining experience.

After dinner, or at any time, members gather for cocktails and lively conversation in the Lounge or outside on the veranda where they enjoy the cozy outdoor fireplaces and take in wonderful views of the 200-acre private lake. The Clubhouse also includes multiple private dining and meeting rooms which can be reserved for personal business or pleasure.

The course, designed by former U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate, is rated by GolfDigest® as one of the best courses in Alabama. The vistas are spectacular, especially the 6 holes bordering the lake. The Steelwood golf course opened in 1997.
