Nothing better describes the huge task we set ourselves as the construction of the golf course. We wanted the best of designers. What an ambition! A handful of young professionals with little money, who barely found access to the credit needed to acquire the land, looking for the best designer in the world to make the golf course unique in the country ...! And yet, in that strange way in which everything comes together to help projects that have enough desire, we reach Robert Trent Jones after a long search. He agreed to design our field. We were missing someone to work in the field. So we found Alberto Serra, an Argentine professional who had worked in the Country and who had gone to Panama and we besieged him until he agreed to help us.
For the design of the field they found out who was the best designer in the world and that''s how they contacted the Englishman Robert Trent Jones, who collected US $ 26,000. Now the field has been considered one of the best fifty in the world. The builder was the Argentine, expert in these lides, Alberto Serra. The field was inaugurated in 1963 with ribbon cutting and a great celebration. In 1980, following a strong winter, the golf course was flooded. Thanks to the efforts of several partners, it was possible to fix before celebrating the World Cup, that same year. This event was definitely a milestone in the history of the Club, not only because of its importance worldwide but because it had golfers from several countries. The success of the World Cup was thanks to the collaboration and work of the partners.
