Nestled among the vineyards that west of Verona frame the hills of Custoza, in a magnificently intact landscape setting, the Verona Golf Club is an established reality in the area, a renowned stage in golf tourism in Northern Europe.
The origins of the Verona Golf Club can be traced back to 1960, the year in which the two enlightened founders Alberto Farina and Harold Gent founded the real estate company that would welcome just a year after the first restricted group of members, including Gianfranco Fedrigoni, Giacomo Galtarossa, Patrizio Tiberghien and Italo Cannella, to found the first club.
In 1963 a 9-hole course was inaugurated, expertly traced by John Harris, doubled in the following decade on the wave of increasing interest that the initiative was gaining. From 1969 to 1971 Giulio Cavalsani contributed to redesign the original path.
Baldovino Dassù and Alvise Rossi Fioravanti''s pencils contributed to the revisiting of the route which, while respected in the original brand, was made more aggressive.
The golfer who reaches our course today will meet 18 fascinating holes, the first nine narrow by a rich vegetation and made challenging by greens well defended by mounds and bunkers, then the final sequence characterized by wide and wavy fairways, albeit technically homogeneous with the part initial of the track.
Today the Verona Golf Club is part of the most prestigious clubs for the charm of the course, the club house, its history and the cordial punctuality of the staff in charge of the various functions.
