Only 25 minutes from Porte Maillot or Porte de Saint-Cloud, and close to Saint Germain en Laye, the Golf & Country Club of Fourqueux is a unique place. In a magnificent green setting, its 27 technical and hilly holes appeal to players of all levels. This private, family friendly club also offers the full range of services of a Country Club: tennis, swimming pool, bridge, billiards, children''s house and restaurant with a superb terrace.
At the heart of our mission as an associative club, our golf school welcomes from the age of 5, nearly 100 children who progress and flourish thanks to the enthusiasm of our teachers. The objective is to introduce them to the practice of golf; a school of life for children with the contribution of a system of values ââbased on pleasure, respect for rules and for one''s partner, a taste for competition. Children with high potential are grouped into ''elite'' or ''hopeful'' groups and benefit from more intensive teaching in order to train our future players who will be called upon to defend the colors of our Club in high-level competitions.
23,000 trees in a protected site classified in 1984, carefully landscaped and preserved, without any outside noise. The Golf & Country Club of Fourqueux, a real arboretum where more than 50 species of conifers and 170 of deciduous trees can be spotted there. Planted when the golf course was created and regularly renewed, they perfume and illuminate the course throughout the year. Indigenous trees such as alders, chestnuts, oaks, ashes and beeches populating the nearby forest of Marly, many conifers and miscellaneous, spruces, firs, pines, Douglas firs, cedars, cypresses, redwoods and araucaria, and hardwoods of all kinds, hornbeams, maples, plane trees, lime trees, tall poplars, aspens, weeping willows... roses and others illuminate and embalm the golf course. In autumn, it''s a blaze: the gold of the ginkgos, the copper and the purple of the liquidambars, the scarlet of the parrotia, the red of the dogwoods and the orange of the nyssa mingle with the yellows and browns of the other leafy trees. And added to the charm of colors and smells, the pleasure of flavors. From spring to autumn, golfers have cherries, quinces, apples, plums, pears, walnuts and hazelnuts at their fingertips.
